Project Description:

We are Kolkota, India based organization Inviting Expression of Interest from reputed vendors for conversion of e-documents. Current documents are stored in PDF and TIFF form these are scanned pages contain Maps, tables and Scanned data etc. approximate 350000 pages.
Scope of Work:
1) Three lakhs scanned pages and 50000 pages of our publications are to be converted into e-document
such that they are searchable using keywords and web compatible for uploading into our portal as well as for Archival
2) The entire job is to be completed by the firms within six months from the date of
placement of work order
3) Most of the published and the unpublished documents contain text, tabular information and images and maps. Many have already been converted to soft copy by scanning and stored as pdf (text & tables) and in TIFF (maps) format. Altogether coverage of 3 lakhs suc scanned pages, including 2 lakh pages of our publications & one lakh pages of unpublished reports.
4) Another 50000 pages of our publications are available in hard copy, which are to be taken up for soft copy conversion.
5) The entire archival data base as stated above needs to be converted to e-document
for archival and uploading into our Portal.
Estimated cost for the total work is 5000000 INR. Interested Vendors are requested submit sealed envelope of Expression of interest latest by 14.00 hrs by 8th April 2010. Request for proposal will be issued to short listed vendors who qualify given criteria in documents. This is a onshore and onsite work. For more details check attachment.
